Helping Hands for Education has one key aim: To give communities the educational resources they need in order to allow their youngsters (and adults) to reach their true potential. UK Registered Charity No. 1162358
OUR VISION
The primary aim of Helping Hands for Education is to improve the quality of education deprived children receive by giving them access to better educational resources, there
by helping them to reach their true potential and have better life chances. Our work is centred in the city of Ogbomosho in south-western Nigeria, the home town of our founder and chairman, where we are working to establish an educational hub from which local schools can access the resources they need to deliver a higher standard of education to children. You can help by:
• Running fundraising events on our behalf such as sponsored walks, coffee and cake sales, car boot sales, auctions or fetes.
• Getting involved as a volunteer in events organised by the charity, for example by running a stall, cooking for an event, marshalling sponsored walks, collecting and sorting books etc.
• Putting your expertise at our disposal by helping us with your IT skills or running a social media campaign on our behalf.
• Sponsoring a project such as the renovation of a school classroom, purchasing classroom furniture, donating computers and IT equipment, paying for a borehole to be dug to provide a school with drinking water.
