We’ll be chatting with Brigid about the support she received this Friday 13th June at our Get to know us event at 2 Royal Avenue. This event is free to attend! We’ll see you there from 12pm 💛💛

Over the last 10 years I have been privileged to receive multiple awards from music industry organisations such as Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Help Musicians UK Help Musicians Northern Ireland, PRS Foundation & British Council Northern Ireland & Music Minds Matter.
I actually believe this support was a game-changer in my music career, helping me to do many things - get to Nashville, meet co-writers, record, promote and tour my albums and create space for new work. Both the Transmission Fund and Live and Touring Awards that I was lucky enough to win, amid UK wide competition, truly helped me immeasurably, particularly with my recent Irish and UK tours. I am so very grateful to Help Musicians and all of the organisations mentioned.
So it's lovely to have been invited by HMNI this Friday 13 th June, to discuss and chat a bit about how the awards helped me practically in my career - and sing a few songs too! I hope others will be encouraged to apply and reap the benefits of the great support that is open for all to avail of!

Our Story

Help Musicians is an extraordinary charity with a unique history. Marking 100 years in operation in 2021, we are still hard at work providing help, support and opportunities to empower musicians at all stages of their lives.

We love music and we aim to make a meaningful difference to the lives of musicians. The wide spectrum of support we offer includes an integrated programme combining Health & Welfare services with Creative development funding, ground-breaking research, a mental health helpline for the entire music industry and an incredibly popular hearing health scheme.

With a head office in London's Kings Cross and regional offices in Belfast and Glasgow, we continue reaching out to ensure we engage with the music profession right across the UK and amongst all genres of music.
