Recently, we welcomed colleagues with service ranging from 5 to 30 years to our special annual Long Service Luncheon, celebrating their dedication, loyalty and contribution to YMCA St Paul's Group.

Colleagues were welcomed by our Executive Team, presented with their long service gifts, and spent time reconnecting over lunch, sharing stories, memories and plenty of laughter. From reminiscing about the early days to enjoying a lively piñata, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people who make YMCA St Paul's Group such a Great Place To Work.

More than anything, the event highlighted the strong sense of community, friendship and belonging that makes YMCA St Paul's Group feel like one big family.

Great conversations, practical ideas and plenty of inspiration at our YMCA St Paul’s Group Managers Conference July 2026.

Managers from across our charity came together to explore Digital-Ready Leadership, sharing how AI and digital tools can help us work more efficiently, support our teams and deliver even better services for the young people and communities we serve. The day included practical demonstrations, discussion and collaborative problem-solving around the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation.

One of the highlights was the chance for managers from across our different services and locations to reconnect, build relationships and learn from one another. The networking, conversations and sharing of experiences were just as valuable as the formal sessions.

A particular thank you to Mike Garde for an engaging and practical session on how AI can transform everyday workflows, team management and decision-making, with real-world examples and quick wins that managers can start using straight away.

🌱 A huge thank you to the fantastic team from Barclays who recently volunteered at YMCA South Ealing!

The Barclays team helped transform our outdoor spaces by planting new greenery, tidying communal areas and donating £500 towards the project, creating a more welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.

Special thanks to Nikolay Venkov for helping make the day possible, and to our South Ealing team who supported the project throughout.

The improvements have already made a big difference and have been greatly appreciated by colleagues and residents alike.

📢 COMMUNITY CONSULTATION NOW OPEN

YMCA St Paul's Group is exploring proposals for a new floodlit 3G artificial grass pitch at YMCA Hawker, and we want to hear from you.

The proposed facility could help improve access to year-round sports provision, create more opportunities for young people, support women and girls' participation in sport, and increase community use of the Hawker Centre.

Before any planning application is submitted, we are inviting local residents, sports clubs, schools, community organisations and Hawker Centre users to share their views.

Whether you support the proposal, have questions, or would like to raise concerns, we encourage you to take part.
