On Thursday evening, Sam (our units chairman), attended the GL RFCA Award Evening. She was presented with a certificate of commendation for her continued dedication to the unit over the last 12 years. Despite a very challenging year for the unit, she has stepped up into various other roles to help keep the unit open.
Without her, the unit would not be where it is now and we are all very grateful for her.
Well done!!

The other week, we had Sgt Toogood from Waltham Forest Marine Detachment come down to teach our cadets map reading as well as putting up a tent and what you need when camping.
The kids had a great time learning grid references and racing to see who could put up their tent first (which was one by the juniors!)
Massive thank you to Sgt Toogood!
