It’s nearly time for one of the PJ Library team’s favourite festivals… Shavuot is on its way! The celebration begins on the evening of Thursday 21 May. This joyful festival is all about coming together to celebrate the giving of the Torah—often with beautiful flowers, late-night learning and plenty of delicious dairy treats (think cheesecake and ice cream!) 🌸🍨

The May books are on their way!

Babies and toddlers will receive 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐡: 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 teaching the simple but powerful Hebrew word Todah - thank you!

Our three-and four-year-olds are being sent 𝐌𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐧 which celebrates our bodies and our senses.

Five-year-olds will be receiving 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐙𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐳 a heartwarming tale of resilience, reinvention and belonging, with gentle humour and a celebration of Israeli culture and community.

Six-year-olds will receive 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐭, based on a true-life story of Estee Ackerman who has to make a difficult choice. When her championship match is scheduled on Shabbat, will she go for the gold medal or honour her faith?

Finally, our seven-and-eight-year-olds are being gifted the chapter book 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐦’𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐬. Using her detective skills, Miriam goes on a class trip to the zoo to find out the truth about dragons.
