Elliot For Water

Elliot for Water turns your homepage into a clean productivity dashboard and uses part of the revenue to fund water projects. 🌍💧

What would you do if you had the opportunity to save a human life by doing what you already do everyday? This is the question that Elliot For Water asks to people. Elliotforwater.com, in fact, is the first search engine that gives the possibility to its users to help the people in need of safe drinking water. One fifth of the global population has no access to clean water, leading to death of six thousand people per day due to water-related diseases. Elliot For Water's mission is to provide access to safe drinking water to villages in Africa, Asia and South America. This is achieved by transforming something that people do every day, for free, into something powerful: the clicks on a search engine, become drops of water! In fact, Elliot For Water uses 60% of its profits, raised through the clicks on the Water Links, to buy Solwa Technologies, solar energy based machines that purify dirty or polluted water through desalination. We will also take care of the primary necessities of the villages in which this technology will be implemented.

NEW PODCAST EPISODE 🎙️🦁 How much does it really take to make a difference in someone else's life? Sometimes, not as much as we think. The latest episode of the Elliot For Water Podcast is now live, and this time we are joined by Martijn Wokke, President of Lions Alkmaar Victorie. We talk about what it really means to give back, how Lions Clubs International creates impact both locally and around the world, and how even a little of your time, knowledge, or network can make a huge difference for someone else.

We also explore how to find time for volunteering alongside work and family, the unexpected things you gain from helping others, and how anyone can get involved, or even start their own club.

Because creating an impact doesn't always require doing something extraordinary. Sometimes, it starts with simply using what you already have to help someone who needs it.

This week on the Elliot for Water dashboard, we're featuring SunCulture. 💧
SunCulture provides smallholder farmers with reliable, off-grid solar-powered access to water, irrigation, and energy, helping them grow food and build more resilient livelihoods.

It's something we understand very well through our own water project in Guinea-Bissau. Once reliable water became available, it also became a resource for the market garden, helping the community grow food and generate income by selling the surplus. That's the power of access to water: it can unlock so much more.

Really happy to have SunCulture back on our dashboard this week. ☀️💧

📸 A new partnership for Elliot for Water: we’re really happy to announce our new partnership with Cristiano Garola Photography.

Cristiano is a wildlife photographer who takes people into some incredible places through photography expeditions and workshops, from the Gran Paradiso National Park to Białowieża and Borneo. His expeditions are built around experiencing wildlife in its natural environment, learning photography, and most importantly, respecting the places and animals being photographed. And now, some of that photography will be coming to Elliot for Water.

From now on, Cristiano will be providing us with some of the wildlife and nature photographs you'll see as backgrounds on the Elliot for Water extension. 🌍💧

We’re really excited to have these incredible images become part of the Elliot experience, and even more excited about the partnership behind them!

Water is energy. Energy is not water. 💧⚡ It sounds simple, but it's a connection that many businesses are only now starting to fully understand.

In this clip from the Elliot for Water Podcast, Ramzi Bouzerda, founder and CEO of Droople, explains how better water management can also help buildings reduce their energy footprint.

Once water enters a building, part of it is heated for showers, taps, and other uses. So when hot water isn't managed properly, you're not just wasting water — you're also wasting the energy used to heat it.

This is why making water visible and measurable matters. When you understand how water is being used, you can start managing both resources better. Full episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9hGrz-0LQw&t=6s.

💧 10.5 MILLION LITRES OF WATER DONATED! In our project in Guinea-Bissau, reliable access to water has helped create a market garden where women now grow food for their families and sell the surplus to nearby villages. The income generated helps pay for school fees, books, and other everyday essentials. That's why we do what we do. Water creates opportunities, strengthens communities, and helps build a better future. 💙

Most organizations can tell you exactly how much energy they use, very few can tell you how they're using their water. 💧 That's exactly the problem Droople is solving. Ramzi Bouzerda, founder and CEO of the company, explains their mission very well: to make water matter.

Using IoT sensors, data, and analytics, Droople helps organizations understand how water is used across their buildings and infrastructure. Once water becomes visible, it becomes possible to reduce waste, improve efficiency, lower energy consumption, manage risks, and make better decisions. Because you can't manage what you can't measure.
