Greetings from Senegal! πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡³

There’s nothing quite like the energy of having our dedicated team together in one place. We’ve been on the ground in Dakar, busy following up with our incredible beneficiaries, evaluating our impact, and planning how we can reach more young people (and young women in particular) this year.

I am endlessly grateful for this team, but we need your help to turn our plans into reality.

⚑ The "Little by Little" Match is LIVE!
Right now, your generosity goes further. is matching all donations up to $50 at 50%, but there is a catch: the matching funds are limited and running out fast!

Why your support matters:
Meet Awa. Before Aspyre Africa stepped in, Awa walked 14 kilometers every single day just to learn a trade and support her family. No student should have to walk half a marathon just to access an education.

When you give today, your impact is amplified:

$25 (1 month of transport) becomes $37.50

$50 (2 months of transport) becomes $75

Our goal for 2026 is to support at least 60 young women like Awa, clearing the path so they can focus on their skills, not the long road to get there.

Please give now to make sure we don't miss out on these matching funds. Together, we are building futures in Senegal, one step at a time.

With gratitude,
Savina & the Aspyre Africa Team

Last week in Saint-Louis, Senegal, key actors came together to strengthen support for young people entering the job market πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡³

On 3 February 2026, Aspyre Africa, represented by Anta Seye, took part in a workshop organised by 3FPT - Fonds de Financement de la Formation professionnelle et technique – Northern Territory Division. The session was part of a national series of workshops on the revised Integration Projects (PI) and Integration Training Projects (PFI), within the framework of the SEN301 – FIT Senegal project.

These exchanges helped local stakeholders better understand the tools available to support young people into employment, particularly in the lead-up to the Youth Olympic Games.

Thank you to 3FPT for this important initiative and for working with partners like Aspyre Africa to ensure inclusive access to opportunities for all young people.

🌱 A new beginning in Saint-Louis! 🌱
We’re proud to share some wonderful news with you. Mbodji, one of our beneficiaries and a former talibΓ©, has officially begun his horticulture project in with our support.

So far, Mbodji has prepared the land and is busy setting up his tomato nursery, the first essential steps toward a successful harvest. In the coming weeks, he will begin growing tomatoes, onions, okra, and groundnuts. πŸŒΎπŸ…

Things are off to a great start, and this project represents so much more than farming β€” it’s about dignity, opportunity, and long-term self-reliance.
To all our supporters, this is your impact. Thank you for helping plant the seeds of hope and opportunity. The journey is just beginning πŸŒπŸ’š

β€œZonder Aspyre Africa had ik misschien ook mijn leven op zee gewaagd. Nu heb ik een beroep, een inkomen en hoop.” – Abdou

β€œBefore this training in metal welding, my only plan was to emigrate to Europe by all means. I felt desperate about my economic and social situation. The pressure was coming from all directions for me to go and find work as a construction worker. When I had the chance to join this training programme, it was a huge relief for me. I acquired a lot of technical knowledge in metal welding, which totally changed my thoughts about Europe.

Now, I have more consideration within my family. I also understand the importance of training. What I would like now is to set up my own business so that I can earn a decent living out of poverty. I also intend to train other young people who are in the same situation as I was. I would like to thank Aspyre Africa for their help so far, and really hope they will be there all the way to support me in making my project a success.” (Mohamed)
