Streetdoctors is a UK-based charity made up of medics, paramedics, nurses and doctors who reach out to youth organisations and secondary schools to teach crucial first aid skills. Streetdoctors South London branch was started in 2013 and works with youth organisations, Pupil Referral Units and Youth Offending Teams to teach young people crucial first aid skills. Our mission is to reach as many you

ng people at risk of offending as possible to teach them the value of human life and use first aid as a tool to educate and empower them, to give them confidence and a sense of responsibility for their actions and help them change their attitude towards violence. With Denmark playing against England tonight We made a short video about how to perform CPR. The tragic news about Christian Erikson collapsing whilst playing and a fan, Charlie Naughton who collapsed and unfortunately died whilst watching England play has highlighted the importance of knowing effective CPR

We really hope this short video helps and empowers someone out there.

Earlier this year our South London team held a session and one of the young boys who attended was later stabbed in Kingston. The wound extended armpit to armpit. He was 15. He was Scared. However, using the skills he learnt in our session, he administered first aid to himself, asked friends to apply pressure and lifted his own legs up. He said he kept calm as he knew what to do as StreetDoctors had taught him. He was able to save his own life because he was taught how to by StreetDoctors. Being part of Streetdoctors is a very humbling and rewarding experience, and we hope to continue teaching these vital skills to more young people.

Hi Everyone,

Our first set of auditions went great on Monday, special thanks to Domino's Pizza London - Elephant and Castle for donating pizzas for our auditionees to enjoy! We will be holding another audition evening for those who couldn't make the first one, remember to prepare a 2 minute presentation on anything you'd like to teach us or are passionate about. Keep an eye out for the date and time, which we'll release very soon. :)
