With all the news recently about reshuffles on backbenches and in Parliament, we wanted to let you know about our own little reshuffle on the HBA Trustee Board.
At our first trustee board meeting over the weekend, Sam Smette stepped down as Chair of Trustees, alongside Ian Pinnell who has stepped down as Vice-Chair. They will both continue to serve on the trustee board.
🗣️ Sam said: "It's been a privilege to help steer the organisation forward. Looking back, I'm incredibly proud at what we've achieved together, from developing and embedding a clear strategy, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and delivering an impact report that truly reflects the value of hospital, health and wellbeing broadcasting and the dedication of our members. I'm pleased to still be a part of the HBA team as a Trustee"
🗣️ Ian continued: “I echo what Sam has already said and while the association has had some challenges, we've also had some great achievements that have really benefitted our member stations and shined a light on hospital, health and wellbeing broadcasting."
We would like to welcome Kirsten Karron as Chair of Trustees and Lee Thomas as Vice-Chair. They will continue to lead and move the association forward with the help of the board. We would also like to welcome new trustee, Mark Kiteley to the board, following his election at our AGM in March. Gareth Hurford has been re-appointed for another 12 months and will oversee exciting work on regions.
As ever, our trustees and volunteers are here to support you, our member stations, as we continue to shape the future of hospital, health and wellbeing broadcasting.
