y young conference that started in 2011, UCLMUN aims to welcome relative newcomers to the ranks of the MUN circuit, while still ensuring that debate is sufficiently rigorous and thought-provoking to challenge experienced delegates. UCLMUN 2017 adhered to these objectives through a judicious mix of intense committee sessions and fun socials, which allowed delegates to get their fill of both mental stimulation and merry revelry while mixing with other delegates. The rapid growth of UCLMUN is a testimony to the popularity of UCLMUN’s unique style.

For delegates coming from outside London, the nearest National Rail stations are London Euston, London King’s Cross and London St Pancras. From there, you can take the Circle, Hammersmith and City or Metropolitan Lines to Euston Square Tube station, which is next to UCL’s main campus.Other National Rail stations are connected to UCL via the Tube network. London Victoria is connected to Warren Street Tube station via the Victoria Line. London Marylebone is a short walk from Edgware Road Tube station, from which the Circle and Hammersmith and City lines depart for Euston Square Tube station.International delegates coming from London Heathrow Airport can take the Piccadilly Line to Kings Cross St Pancras Tube Station, from which they can transfer to the abovementioned lines to reach Euston Square Tube station.International delegates coming from London Gatwick Airport can take the National Rail to London Victoria, from which they have transfer options to Warren Street Tube station.

Welcome to UCLMUN X

We are delighted to announce the dates for the upcoming UCL Model United Nations Conference and to welcome you to UCL for its 10th edition! UCLMUN X will take place from Friday 24th January to Sunday 26th January at UCL’s Bloomsbury Campus in the heart of Central London.

Our mission is to help you develop the tools necessary to accomplish your goals whilst providing an encouraging and supportive community. We are committed to helping you, the people who are going to go on to be the next global leaders, realise your ability and your potential.

The Conference

UCLMUN is committed to the highest standards in everything we do, and we are determined to make this conference the best in our extraordinary ten year history. In addition to our commitments to quality, we also want to innovate and develop new ways in which MUN can evolve. This year, we will be offering two ‘negotiations’-style committees, which will follow a unique ROP and will be an excellent way of developing and honing delegates’ diplomatic skills.

Alongside our new negotiations committees, we offer three traditional, but nonetheless fascinating committees: UN Security Council (Advanced), Economic and Social Council (Intermediate) and UNESCO (Beginner). All five committees will be designed to appeal to a broad range of delegates, as well as addressing important global challenges.

Applications

Chairing - we welcome applications for chairs from those who have chaired before; however, we would also love to receive applications from delegates who are experienced but who have not chaired before.
