Our new research finds more people are going private due to NHS dental access issues. But it’s the poorest households that are hit hardest. The number of people who have used private dentistry has almost doubled among people who struggle financially - from 14% in 2023 to 27% in 2025.

The government won’t end health inequalities until it fixes NHS dentistry. We need better access to NHS dentistry especially in rural and more deprived areas, and fundamental reform of the NHS dental contract.

📣 Ambitious about Autism are working with the London Ambulance Service to learn more about autistic young people’s experiences of emergency medical services in London, including calling 111 or 999 (not just ambulance use).

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

🔹 A parent/carer of an autistic young person aged 13–25

Through our work in the community and from our information telephone line, we get to hear first-hand from patients and the public what their experience of health and social care in Enfield is really like.

We write reports about different services using your feedback as evidence. This helps to influence the people who run those services to make positive changes or improvements based on your needs.

Because we have a good relationship with most of the health and care services in Enfield, we are often invited to support them to plan improvements. We do this by getting patients and residents involved in helping to design new services, particularly if they have a special interest or experience of using that service. We call this co-design.

Resident doctors will be taking strike action from 7th - 13th April. During this time, some NHS services may run differently or feel a little busier than usual. Even so, please continue to attend your GP or hospital appointments as planned unless you’re contacted with an update.

The campaign highlights scientific achievements and the cooperation needed to turn evidence into action, with a strong focus on the One Health approach.

It calls on governments, scientists, health workers, partners and the public to engage with evidence, rebuild trust in science and public health and support science solutions for a healthier future.

Measles often starts with flu‑like symptoms: a high fever, cough, runny nose and sore eyes.

A few days later, a rash usually appears. It begins on the face and behind the ears before spreading across the body. On white skin it often looks red or brown; on brown and Black skin it can be harder to see.

Vaccination is the best protection, so keeping up with your child’s jabs is important. If you think they may have measles, contact NHS 111 or your GP practice first, as it spreads very easily.
