Boating season is officially underway, and what a fantastic start it’s been! 🚤🌊

Over the past two weeks, both staff and cadets have gained some incredible experience out on the water, getting hands-on with rowing and powerboating. None of this would have been possible without the brilliant support from our friends at Edmonton and Cheshunt—thank you for helping make it all happen!

To top it all off, last night Edmonton surprised us with bucket hats as a thank-you for boating with the station—a great way to end an already memorable session.

BZ to everyone involved—an outstanding effort all around.👏👏

In true Finchley style we ended the year with our cadet Christmas Party. A big thank you to our staff for making this happen. The cadets and parents had an amazing night, and the staff are knackered lol. Best secret santa gift goes to AC Oliver for his present to AC Kieran ( video in comments as would only let me upload video) The night ended on a sad note our amazing oic and admin officer anounced it would be their last night with Finchley Sea Cadets after a long 14 years of service. Would like to thank them for all their hard work and dedication over this time and you will be missed by all. I was asked to take over as oic, and accepted. I promise to try my best.

Many thanks
PO C Driscoll

‼️ URGENT - UNIFORM AMNESTY ⚓️

If you’ve ever been a cadet or volunteer with us and have any old uniform or parts of uniform, we would really like it back please as soon as you are able.

No questions will be asked and we understand sometimes these things slip down the priority list, especially in today’s busy climate, so nobody is in trouble! 🙈

However, uniform remains property of the Ministry of Defence, and whilst it is gathering cobwebs in a loft or a back of a wardrobe, it isn’t serving our newest cadets or volunteers who could make use of it.

You can drop it to the unit on a wednesdays or Fridays between 7:15pm and 21:30pm if you can pop the person’s name on a note inside the bag, we can cross them off our “wanted” list 😃
