We’re delighted to share that our new Swindon warehouse is now officially open. Thank you to everyone - funders, friends and publishers including Hachette UK, Elsevier and Wiley - who joined us to celebrate this occasion and supported us to get here.

The new warehouse, which has capacity for more than 500,000 books, will enable us to store, select and dispatch more books and will help us reach more readers worldwide in the years ahead.

As our Author Ambassador Abi Daré said at the opening: "There are readers all over the world who yearn for the opportunity to read. But they have no books. It's a huge problem with a wonderfully simple solution: send more books! Book Aid International is poised to do just that."

This week a shipment of brand-new books left our Swindon warehouse bound for Zimbabwe.

39,725 brand-new books are now on their way to our partners including the British Council, Simpact Foundation and Zambesi Schoolbook Project.

The total number of books sent worldwide so far this year is 382,669. Thank you to everyone who has supported us to do this.

It costs just £2 to send each book. Donate now to send the next one.
