September is here and teachers have been welcoming pupils back to their classrooms. But not every school has the books it needs to stock its library shelves.

Cynthia has taught in Zimbabwe for more than 30 years. Through our Generation Reader campaign, our partner ENML provided brand-new books for use in her classroom.

Story Space returns this autumn, and schools across the UK are already getting ready to take part. Pupils will trade their uniforms for pyjamas, build cosy reading dens in their classrooms and raise funds as they go, all for a suggested donation of just £2.

Every £2 raised means a brand-new book reaching a school that currently has little or no access to books. 📚

It is a book club with a twist: you pay the monthly amount, and instead of books landing on your doorstep, brand-new titles go towards libraries run by our partners around the world. They know their communities and choose exactly what belongs on the shelves. 📖

Every membership adds another book to a library shaped by the people who use it. ❤️

Our warehouse in Swindon has just sent out new shipments to Sudan and Tanzania.

In Sudan, 18,151 brand-new books are heading to the University of Khartoum and partners. In Tanzania, the Tanzania Library Services Board and partners are receiving 41,512 books.

So far this year, we have sent a total of 676,261 brand-new books worldwide. Thank you to everyone who has supported us to achieve this. 🙌
