When Stephen finished primary school, his family couldn’t afford the fees to continue.

But when a PEAS school opened in his village, everything changed. He enrolled, became the school’s first Head Boy, built confidence and leadership skills, and received support to access college funding.

Today, Stephen has a Diploma in Automotive Engineering, has an internship, and mentors younger students to help them stay safe and thrive.

We’re taking part in the Big Give, and every donation will be doubled – helping us build a brand-new 3-room classroom block at PEAS Bwesumbu Secondary School.

In Uganda, around 2 in 3 girls are not enrolled in secondary school. Distance, poverty, and early marriage often force girls to give up their education before they begin. At PEAS Bwesumbu, the story is different. Girls here are learning and thriving, but the school is now full. When places run out, girls’ risk never starting secondary at all – missing the chance of a better future. Educated girls marry later, earn more, and lift their communities.
