Fantastic opportunity to spend a Sunday morning on your bike in beautiful Oxford!

The primary role of our Lead bike is to lead and pace our junior 3k and adult 10k around the course. You will be working with another experienced lead bike who will be ensuring the road is clear ahead, shouting about any potential hazards, guiding the way and keeping the pace.

You will be on radio and be the Race Directors eyes and ears out on the course during the race.

When: Sunday 10 May 6.30am-11am.
Payment: £100 and a complimentary T&G t-shirt
Additional: Saturday briefing and route recce.

Leanne and her daughters Martha and Evie (pictured) live with facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD).

Together, they'll officially start the Bidwells Oxford 10k, running alongside thousands of others to raise money to change the future of muscle wasting conditions.

"The support we’ve received from Muscular Dystrophy UK and the neuromuscular team at the John Radcliffe Hospital over the years has been incredible.

"So, to open this year’s race is a true honour and the girls are beyond excited.”

The Bidwells Oxford 3k 2026 is officially sold out! Unfortunately, we won't be operating a waiting list.

This year will see 600 juniors take on our 3k course, another record breaker for the event. If you have missed out, please keep your eyes open for info on how to register your interest for our 2027 event.

**Sector Leaders required**

The primary role of our Sector Leaders is to ensure the smooth running of the race, responding to situations in their sectors as and when they arise, as well as ensuring that all signage, cones and barriers are properly positioned in their sectors before the race.

You will be the Race Director’s eyes and ears out on the course during the race.

When: Sunday 10 May: 5.30am-12pm.
Payment: £100 and a complimentary Town and Gown 10k T-shirt
