It all started with Learn My Way! Our learner started with an online basics, Learn My Way course and then progressed onto the level 2 childcare course. It has been wonderful to watch her confidence grow and excel in the childcare course she has always wanted to do!

A testimony from one of our learners from the English My Way ESOL class, sharing how she has progressed thanks to the English My Way programme. From being able to talk to her Doctor, to getting a job and even passing her driving licence. All thanks to English My Way, the support from Mercy Foundation Centre and the learner's dedication to improve her English language skills.

A lovely extract from Councillor Tony Belton's newsletter about the work of the charity and it's founder Victoria Rodney. It has always been a pleasure when Councillor Tony Belton visits our centre and he has made wonderful contributions to our charity throughout the years! Tony is a very well known figure in the Battersea area and he has spent 47 years as a councillor!

Councillor Tony Belton's Battersea April, 2018, Newsletter ( #106)

1. On 7th March, Wandsworth’s Mayor Les McDonnell and I presented certificates to Mercy Foundation students of English. The Foundation is organised and very considerably financed by Victoria Rodney; she is the driving force behind the Foundation, which is in effect a one-woman voluntary organisation. Her main objective is to improve the life chances of many of the, frankly, poorer

and less educated people of Battersea. Her clients come from all over the globe, with on this occasion, graduation certificates awarded to a couple from Portugal, a man from Afghanistan, a Bulgarian woman and a dozen others, largely from eastern Europe.

2. However, Victoria surprised me by finishing the awards with a certificate for me(!) and my contributions to the Foundation’s efforts – very nice of her but apart from helping in a few simple English conversational classes and helping her to apply and win grants, I don’t think I have done that much to deserve a certificate.
