Today, our supplementary schools were honoured to welcome three of our elderly ambassadors for a beautiful intergenerational conversation with the children. In Albanian, the students asked questions about life in Albania, their journeys to the UK, traditions, family values, and the changes they have witnessed across generations. These moments are so important because cultural stories keep our heritage alive, strengthen identity, and create understanding between young and old. For our elderly ambassadors, sharing their memories and experiences helps combat loneliness by making them feel heard, valued, and connected to the community. For our young people, it builds confidence, empathy, pride in their roots, and a deeper appreciation of the sacrifices and resilience of those who came before them. Today reminded us that when generations come together, we don’t just share stories we build belonging, connection, and community.
