Why do banking hubs and access to cash matter so much? Because for many people, it goes far deeper than convenience. It’s about independence, confidence, and feeling safe 🔐
Our research with The Foundation asked real customers about their experiences — and their words say it better than any statistic could:
🗣️ “If I need to transfer money, I usually get my son to do it. If he’s not around, I go into a branch and ask them. I have no clue how to use it.”
🗣️ “I always take out cash every month, which is my spending money for that month...Once it is gone, it’s gone.”
🗣️ “Someone took my details and paid for loads of things in my name. Honestly, it was quite scary, it’s put me off doing anything digitally.”
For these customers, having somewhere to go in person isn’t just helpful — it’s essential for their independence, confidence, and peace of mind.
