Thanks for all the lovely messages. It’s done - I’ve got the medal. I now know what “hitting the wall” actually means! Mile 10 and my legs went to jelly. I stepped to the side, had some water and a jelly (plus a couple of mini chorizo bites!) and dug in for the last 3 miles.

10 minutes faster than last year! Off to the CA for something fizzy 🥂🍾

Warm up done! No DLR this weekend so I’ve hiked over to the Jubilee Line at Canary Wharf straight to Green Park. Not sure if I’m regretting the shorts choice…

Wandered down to Wapping Docklands Market this morning with Jon to get some celebratory cheese from The French Comte, a tour of the riverside pubs followed (0.0% beers for me, I am in training!). Finished off by carb-loading with a sourdough crust pizza. Might need a little nap now…
