⚽ WALKING FOOTBALL RETURNS TOMORROW! ⚽

After a short break during the school holidays—and following our change from Wednesdays to Tuesdays—we are delighted to be back!

Please join TLH Kicking Cancer tomorrow:

📅 Tuesday 15 September
⏰ 12 noon–1.00 pm
📍 Marlborough Sports Garden

Our friendly Walking Football sessions welcome people aged 40+ who are affected by cancer, including patients, survivors, family members and friends.

No previous football experience is necessary—just come along, enjoy some gentle exercise, friendship and a cup of tea or coffee afterwards.

Tomorrow’s session is especially important as we restart our regular weekly programme. We would love to see our existing players again and to welcome some new faces.

🚶‍♂️⚽ TLH Kicking Cancer Walking Football is Back! 💙

Just a friendly reminder that this Wednesday, 22 July, we will be resuming our TLH Kicking Cancer Walking Football session.

📅 Wednesday, 22 July
🕚 11:00 am – 12:00 noon
📍 Marlborough Sports Garden (our usual pitch)

Please remember to bring plenty of water to keep hydrated during our regular hydration breaks, especially if the weather is warm.

Whether you are returning after a short break or joining us for the first time, you will be made very welcome. Together we continue to enjoy gentle exercise, friendship, laughter and mutual support.

Today, we remember our founder, Tony Linforth-Hall.

Three years have passed since Tony left us, but his spirit continues to inspire everything we do at TLH Kicking Cancer.

His courage, compassion and determination to help others facing cancer became the foundation of this charity. Every walking football session, every friendship formed, every smile shared, and every person supported is part of the legacy he dreamed of.

As Executive Director, I hope I am making Tony proud by continuing the work we began together. His love, his vision and his belief that no one should face cancer alone continue to guide us every day.

Tony will always be remembered, always be missed, and always be at the heart of TLH Kicking Cancer.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE – TLH Kicking Cancer Walking Football ⚽

Due to the forecast of extreme weather conditions, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel our Walking Football session on Wednesday 24 June.

This decision has been made in the interest of the health and safety of our players and volunteers, and in line with guidance from the Football Association (FA) and the Walking Football Association (WFA) regarding exercise during periods of extreme heat.

We know many of you look forward to our Wednesday sessions, but your wellbeing must always come first.

Please stay safe, keep cool, stay hydrated, and look after yourselves and those who may be more vulnerable during this period of exceptionally high temperatures.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back as soon as it is safe to do so.
