Ladies and gentlemen! October 10 is just round the corner.

30/08/2026

On behalf of the Gurkha Nepalese Community London Borough of Hounslow (GNCLBH), we are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives and the suffering caused by the recent flash floods in Nepal.
Our hearts go out to all the families who have lost their loved ones. We also keep in our thoughts and prayers those who have been injured, displaced, or affected by this terrible disaster.

At this very difficult time, we stand together with the people of Nepal and share their grief. We wish strength and courage to all the families and communities affected by this tragedy.

May those who lost their lives rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.

With deepest sympathy,

Shibakumar Palungwa

Today, we had the privilege of visiting Mr. Makkar Chandra Rai at his residence in Heston following the recent passing of his beloved wife, the late Padma Kumari Rai.

On behalf of the Gurkha Nepalese Community London Borough of Hounslow (GNCLBH), we handed over £2,000 in funeral contribution funds to the bereaved family. This contribution is more than financial support—it is a small expression of our collective sympathy, solidarity and care at a deeply difficult time.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Makkar Chandra Rai and the entire bereaved family. May the departed soul of the late Padma Kumari Rai rest in eternal peace, and may the family find strength, courage and comfort in the love and support of friends, relatives and the wider community.

In times of sorrow, we stand together. In times of need, we support one another.

Our deepest condolences and heartfelt solidarity to the Rai family.

Kind regards
Suresh Rai
General Secretary
GNCLBH
