We asked young people what they think red/ green flags are in relationships - and they did NOT hold back…

🟢 Green flags
✔️ Makes you feel happy & safe
✔️ Kind, caring, respectful
✔️ Good banter & makes you laugh
✔️ Listens, communicates, gives compliments
✔️ Lets you be yourself (even the “weird” bits)
✔️ Trusts you & respects your boundaries
✔️ Supports you, hypes you up, shows effort

🚩 Red flags
❌ Jealousy, control, anger issues
❌ Disrespect, rudeness, constant judgement
❌ makes all the decisions
❌ Lies, secrets, guilt trips
❌ Makes you feel insecure or not enough
❌ Can’t communicate or take accountability

The biggest message?
Young people value respect, trust, and feeling safe to be themselves more than anything.

Relationships shouldn’t feel hard all the time the right ones feel supportive, fun, and equal.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the screening of Out at Six.

The evening created an important space for reflection and conversation around recognising the signs of coercive control and abusive relationships. Raising awareness and encouraging open discussions like these are vital in helping people feel seen, supported, and understood.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, shared their thoughts, and helped create such a thoughtful and supportive atmosphere throughout the evening.

If any of the issues raised during the screening resonated with you, or someone you know, the Jewish Women’s Aid confidential helpline is available for information and support:

Thank you again for your support — we look forward to seeing you at future events. 💜

As part of our JWA Uni Ambassadors Programme, each participant leads their own project exploring key themes around sexual violence and domestic abuse.

We’re incredibly proud of Adina Rosenstein, one of our Uni Ambassadors, who brought her powerful project “Worn Stories” to life yesterday.

Through this project, Adina challenges harmful myths around sexual violence and domestic abuse - especially the idea that a survivor’s clothing or behaviour is ever to blame for the harm they experienced.

Thank you, Adina, for your creativity, courage, and impact 💜
We’re so excited to see each of our ambassadors bring their own projects to life.
