We work with individuals and communities to bridge the gap in access to justice by addressing barriers to legal remedies and responding to human rights violations, while engaging relevant institutions and authorities to advocate for accountability, justice and redress.

On the evening of March 29, 2026 - Palm Sunday — armed terrorists stormed Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. They split into two groups. One held the community hostage. The other moved door to door.

By morning, at least 33 people were dead. Men. Women. People who had just come home from church.

And when the President of Nigeria finally came to Jos — he never left the airport.

A child who could barely understand the world around them was spending one in every 15 days of their entire life as a hostage. Families were barely sleeping and parents were struggling to eat. Teachers were afraid to return to their classrooms.
And the government was still “intensifying efforts.”

On May 15, 2026, armed men stormed three schools in Oriire LGA, Oyo State, abducting 39 pupils and 7 teachers and taking them into the forest.

What followed was a devastating 56-day wait. Two teachers, Michael Oyedokun and Deacon Esiyan Adegboye were killed in captivity.
This documentary tells the full story: the attack, the families’ ordeal, Ansaru’s demands, the rescue, VDM’s protest, the role of social media, and the government’s response.

But one question remains:
Nigeria launched the Safe Schools Initiative in 2014 after Chibok, with ₦145 billion allocated to protect schoolchildren. So why were Oriire’s schools completely unprotected?

This is a systemic failure that demands accountability.

Hussein Ataba from Kogi State, reportedly spoke out about people being silenced for criticizing bad governance and later went missing, with claims he may be in police custody, this has raised serious concern.

Also the case of Justice Chidiebere (Justice Clark), who criticized the poor welfare of troops reportedly disappeared just days after his video went viral. Meanwhile, reports further claim that over ₦600 million is being spent to rehabilitate bandits while many soldiers continue to struggle with basic welfare.

Another disturbing case is that of Mene, a dispatch rider who allegedly said he didn’t know a package he was delivering contained a fi***rm, yet he was reportedly shot by a police officer despite offering to cooperate.

These stories reflect a growing climate of fear around speaking out. It calls for Nigerians to demand accountability, justice, and protection of free speech.

A country where citizens struggle not only with hardship but also fear the very institutions meant to protect them is a country in urgent need of reform. When people feel unsafe to speak, trust in institutions weakens and that is why conversations like this must continue.

Nigeria deserves justice, accountability, and the protection of every citizen’s voice.
