ment across the UK
• provide a vehicle to enable patients and carers to access support and advice

BACKGROUND
Reflecting on comments received from patients affected by Head and Neck Cancer, (HNC) a meeting was convened in February 2016 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham consisting of a group of patients from across the United Kingdom, medical professionals and administrators; to discuss the incidence of HNC, the availability of treatment, support networks, post-operation problems and the difficulties involved in living life after cancer. The meeting identified areas where improvements were necessary and agreed to establish HANCUK as a vehicle to investigate and implement measures to substantially improve the patient experience.

Most recommend the wider team support being treated by the National Health Service, effective communication between all teams involved & the way they felt that they were in safe hands.

We would like to hear from you, to share your experiences of Head and Neck Cancer...
