OK guys - Sunday is fast approaching and so is my athletic debut! I am running on behalf of Catholic Blind Services (CBS) an organisation that provides resources for blind and partially sighted people in Britain and Ireland, and for The Brian Faul Foundation which provides educational and social care programmes in Latvia, Ukraine and Belarus.
Funds raised will go towards these highlighted projects;
CBS – funds to strengthen its outreach work.
Belarus – a kindergarten and school to be built for children including those with disabilities, and small educational programmes
Latvia – counselling and mentoring services and education and social care initiatives that are not covered by large charities and state institutions.
Ukraine – an orphanage near Kyiv for children under 5 with terminal illnesses including HIV/AIDS.
