Don't forget Deadly Diseases starts again tomorrow in
Tooting Market 10.30am and we'd love you there.

A unique collaboration between St George's University Museum, Archives & Special Collections and us.

Two sessions a month, one in the Museum and one in the market.

Discover the development in science, the language of the Medical profession past and present, the treatments,
diseases prevalent in Tooting and an opportunity to steer the future of the collection through your own creative response to everything you see.

Deadly Diseases

Help steer the future of an important museum and archives collection in Tooting.

So excited to announce that this amazing project starts again next Tuesday 12th September (10.30am) and we are looking for further participants.

A collaboration between the Archives & the Museum of Human Diseases at St George's University and ourselves = Deadly Diseases.

She's finished.

Thank you to all the amazing people in the local community that contributed through the Friday Club and the Design Mural Team and Be Enriched for the brilliant workshop.

And the biggest bow to Shiza who took the project running, took all the influences and research and created and painted up the most beautiful mural ever.

Thanks to Dan who assisted the painting.

Taste Kurdish Food and Tooting Market for hosting many of our workshops.

All the current tailors and fabric shops that let us come and chat again and again.

Bounce Theatre for the amazingness you are and National Lottery Heritage Fund for funding us.



We introduce our response to the heritage project a tribute to all the tailors past and present in Tooting.

P.S. Please support your local Tailors, Clothes and Fabric shops, life is more exciting and so are you, don't always shop with the big chains. 😉

Take over an empty shop on your high street and invite your local community to sell goods they've made at home.

Jams, jewellery, eggs from your chicken, plant cuttings, honey from your bees.. whatever it is, as long as we think it will sell it's your opportunity to make some funds for yourself and keep the local economy and high street alive.

We take a small percentage from each sale to keep the shop going and train up people from the local community, perhaps that are coming back into employment after an absence to manage and run each Shop of Great Hope.

Support your local economy, support your local community and keep your high street alive.
