💜 *Alhamdulillah – A Wonderful First Memory Café Gathering!* 💜

Assalamu alaykum dear community,

Alhamdulillah, we are delighted to share that today’s *NHMCC Memory Café* gathering went extremely well. It was lovely to welcome our elders, carers and family members for an afternoon of companionship, activities, support and good conversation. 🌷

Today was particularly special as it was our *first gathering since relaunching the former NHMCC Wellbeing Club as the Memory Café.* Following the changes, the gathering will now take place on the *first Monday of every month, from 12:30 PM–2:30 PM,* rather than on Saturday mornings.

The afternoon included *gentle chair exercises led by Aunty Atiya Saithna,* a supportive talk with *Dr Husna Raoof,* and enjoyable *neuro-cognitive activities* to help keep the mind active. 🧠💜

A lovely *lunch and refreshments were also provided,* giving everyone the opportunity to sit together, chat and enjoy each other’s company. ☕🍽️

A heartfelt *Jazakillahu khayran to Sister Atiya* for her continued dedication in leading this initiative, to *Dr Husna Raoof* for her valuable support, and to everyone who helped make today’s gathering welcoming and enjoyable.

Most importantly, thank you to all our attendees and their families for joining us. ❤️
May Allah place barakah in the Memory Café and allow it to continue providing support, friendship, wellbeing and a sense of belonging for our elders and their loved ones. Ameen. 🤲

🗓️ *Memory Café – First Monday of every month*
⏰ *12:30 PM–2:30 PM*
📍 *Northwood Hills Masjid & Community Centre*

We look forward to welcoming everyone again next month, in shaa Allah. 💜

🌟 *Alhamdulillah – A Truly Inspiring Afternoon at NHMCC* 🌟

Assalamu alaykum dear community,

Alhamdulillah, yesterday’s “*In Good Company with Farouq Sheikh OBE*” was a wonderful success, with around *90 attendees joining us at NHMCC.*

It was an incredibly *beneficial, inspiring and at times emotional conversation,* as Brother Farouq generously shared his personal journey, experiences, challenges and valuable life lessons with our community.

A heartfelt *JazakAllahu khayran to Brother Farouq Sheikh OBE* for giving us his time and for speaking with such openness and sincerity. We would also like to thank *Brother Abid Masood Khan* for guiding the conversation so beautifully.

And, of course, a huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported the event and helped make the afternoon so special. ❤️

May Allah reward everyone involved, place barakah in what was shared and allow us to continue bringing beneficial, inspiring and meaningful events to our community. Ameen. 🤲

🌸 *A Heartfelt Thank You from NHMCC* 🌸

Alhamdulillah, our *Women’s Personal Safety Awareness Workshop* on Saturday was a wonderful and beneficial evening. 🛡️🌷

A big *Jazakum Allahu khayran* to all the sisters and young women who attended, participated and helped make the evening such a success. It was lovely to welcome women and girls of different ages from our community, with *48 participants attending.* 🤍

The evening included helpful *personal safety advice,* practical *self-defence strategies,* and an opportunity to engage with the *local police,* ask questions and receive crime-prevention advice. 👮‍♀️🛡️

The practical session was very engaging and interactive, and we were especially pleased to see sisters getting involved, learning together and building their confidence in a friendly and supportive environment. 🌸💪

Alhamdulillah, the feedback from those who attended was *very positive,* and we are grateful to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts with us.

*We would also like to thank everyone who helped organise, deliver and support the workshop.* Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated. 🌷

Events like this remind us how valuable it is to come together as a community — to *learn, support one another and help each other feel safer and more confident.* 💕

May Allah reward everyone who contributed and participated, and allow us to continue organising beneficial activities for our community. Ameen. 🤲

🌷 *Be Aware. Be Confident. Be Safer Together.* 🌷

Alhamdulillah, what a lovely morning we had! 🌷
We would like to say a very big *Jazakum Allahu khayran* to our wonderful community for all your kindness, generosity and support towards our *Macmillan Coffee Morning.* 💚
From the days leading up to the event to the coffee morning itself, so many of you supported us in different ways — by donating through the online link, giving cash donations, helping with preparations, contributing food and refreshments, and coming along to join us on
Friday. ☕🍰🌸

*Every contribution, big or small, helped to make the morning so special.*

✨ *Together, we raised an amazing £1,065.67!* ✨

Alhamdulillah! All the money raised has been received by *Macmillan Cancer Support.* 💚
We feel very blessed to be part of such a *caring, generous and supportive community.* Seeing everyone come together for such a meaningful cause was truly heartwarming. 🤲💕
