We’ve been busy behind the scenes creating lovely, dementia-friendly areas for our residents 💕🏡
Our aim is to create warm, welcoming spaces that encourage familiarity, comfort, conversation and memories, while making our home feel even more homely. 💐🪴
We’re delighted with how these little changes are coming together — and there’s more to come! 💙

We have some absolutely wonderful news to share!
A little while ago, we received an email to say that Nazareth House Bonnyrigg had been nominated for the Prestige Awards. To be nominated was an honour in itself and we were already feeling very humbled and grateful.
Then yesterday, we received a telephone call to let us know that we had won! 🏆
Not only that, but we have won Prestige Awards – Residential Care Home of the Year (Scotland)! 🎉
For our small home, this really does mean so much. We are extremely humbled, beyond grateful and honestly still taking it all in.
But we want to make one thing very clear: this award is not just for our management and staff. This is for our residents ❤️
Without our residents, we simply wouldn’t be the care home we are today and we certainly wouldn’t be the home we have created together. They are at the heart of everything we do and they are the reason we come to work every day and try our best to make a difference.
And to our wonderful families, thank you. ❤️
Thank you for your continued positive feedback, your enthusiasm for all our silly and extravagant ideas and for simply being you. Whether it’s a summer fayre, a Christmas event, a random idea we’ve decided to run with or just another day in the home, you all help make Nazareth House Bonnyrigg what it is.
Because that’s what we are — a home. 🏡
A home made up of our residents, our staff, and all our families.
We also want to take this opportunity to thank our wider community. To everyone who supports us, visits us, joins in with our events, donates or simply takes the time to say hello — you help make our home a very special place. ❤️
So, from all of us at Nazareth House Bonnyrigg, thank you, thank you, thank you!
We are so proud, so grateful and so excited to share this wonderful news with you all.
