🇵🇸 We welcomed the First Minister and Deputy First Minister of Wales to the PSC stall at the National Eisteddfod to open the Gaza Genocide Tapestry.
We welcome their words of solidarity — and their willingness to name what is happening in Gaza for what it is: a genocide.
But words must now become action:
We want no complicity in the Israeli government’s genocide, occupation and apartheid.
We want councils who have passed divestment motions to turn those words into reality — pulling public funds out of companies that fail to respect people, land and human rights.
Welsh Government contracts and investments must protect our future and back ethical companies, not fund complicity.
The new human rights bill cannot be a piece of paper on a shelf. It must consult and reflect the communities of Wales, including the Palestinian diaspora.
We must teach our young people about Palestinian rights and history in our schools, and fly the Palestinian flag above our Senedd. These are the acts that back up the words.
We need every public authority and organisation in Wales to recognise that it cannot be business as usual. They must meet their legal obligations and end all complicity — no aid, no assistance, no cover for the Israeli government’s genocide, apartheid and occupation of Palestine.
The tapestry speaks. Now Wales must act.

Ond rhaid i eiriau nawr droi’n weithredoedd.
Nid ydym eisiau cysylltiad â hil-laddiad, meddiannaeth ac apartheid llywodraeth Israel.
Rydym eisiau i gynghorau sydd wedi pasio cynigion dadfuddsoddi droi’r geiriau hynny’n realiti — tynnu a***n cyhoeddus allan o gwmnïau sy’n methu parchu pobl, tir a hawliau dynol.
Rhaid i gontractau a buddsoddiadau Llywodraeth Cymru amddiffyn ein dyfodol a chefnogi cwmnïau moesegol, nid a***nnu cydgysylltiad.
Ni all y bil hawliau dynol newydd fod yn ddarn o bapur ar silff. Rhaid iddo ymgynghori ac adlewyrchu cymunedau Cymru, gan gynnwys y diaspora Palestinaidd.
Rhaid i ni addysgu ein pobl ifanc am hawliau a hanes Palestina yn ein hysgolion, a chwifio baner Palestina uwchben ein Senedd. Dyma’r gweithredoedd sy’n cefnogi’r geiriau.
Mae angen i bob awdurdod cyhoeddus a sefydliad yng Nghymru gydnabod na all pethau barhau fel arfer. Rhaid iddynt gyflawni eu rhwymedigaethau cyfreithiol a dod â phob cydgysylltiad i ben — dim cymorth, dim cynhorthwy, dim esgusodion dros hil-laddiad, apartheid a meddiannaeth Palestina gan lywodraeth Israel.
