In December, Exodus Youth Worx UK stepped into our community to put love into practice. Through our outreach, we distributed over 50 care bags to individuals experiencing homelessness, filled with essential items and clothing to help people get through the winter. We also handed out 50 “Bags of Kindness” to members of the public, inviting others to take part in showing compassion and supporting those in need. The response was powerful.
Beyond the items themselves, what made the greatest impact were the conversations, the smiles, and the reminder that people are seen and valued. It showed us that love is most meaningful when it moves beyond words and becomes action - hence the project name, ‘Love in Action’.
This March, Love in Action continues. We are aiming to double our impact by preparing and distributing 100 fully packed care bags directly to individuals experiencing homelessness. Each bag will include essential hygiene products, food and drink, warm items such as socks and gloves, foil blankets, and small items that offer comfort and hope. These are practical resources that meet immediate needs while also restoring dignity.
We are doing this because no one should feel invisible. Homelessness is not only about lacking shelter - it is about isolation, hardship, and often being overlooked. Love in Action means showing up, meeting real needs, and offering both tangible support and human connection.
Our goal is simple: to ensure that at least 100 people this March experience genuine care and are reminded that their community has not forgotten them.
With your support, we can turn compassion into action once again.
