Protecting yourself and your loved ones before winter hits is one of the best ways to stay well. What is the Patient Experience Programme?

Healthwatch Westminster is continuing to deliver our Patient Experience Programme (PEP), through which we engage directly with patients using local health and care services to better understand their experiences and identify opportunities for service improvement.

The programme involves Healthwatch staff and trained volunteers visiting GP practices and other healthcare settings to gather patient feedback through short surveys. Patients are invited to share what is working well, any challenges they have experienced, and suggestions for improving local services.

Why is this programme important?

The Patient Experience Programme supports Healthwatch Westminster’s statutory role to:

-Obtain and represent the views and experiences of local people using health and care services.
-Promote patient involvement in the planning, commissioning and delivery of local services.
-Provide evidence-based recommendations to commissioners and providers to help improve the quality of care.
