We all know Air Cadets love aircraft - so what better place to visit than the Farnborough International Air Show!
This year 68 cadets and 15 adult volunteers attended the Pioneers of Tomorrow Day on the only public day of the show. They got to engage with many industry exhibitors, take part in STEM activities, careers talks, workshops and of course get up close to real aircraft. Some lucky cadets got a private tour of a Sea King Helicopter thanks to Heli Operations.
Cadet Moulière-Reiser of 1349 (Woking) Sqn said after the event, "The day was filled with looking at many stands and looking at many different planes. My favourite part of the day was watching the air show, there were multiple planes on display. The first display stood out to me because there were parachuters who jumped out of an aircraft. One of the parachuters jumped with a big Union Jack flag that weighed over 70 kilograms. Overall, the experience was amazing and I will definitely do it again!"
