Most people never see what happens after a donation is made. πŸ’›

Every donation represents a dental practice choosing to give something back.

Once received, each donation is processed so its value can be turned into funding for children's charities across the UK.

That funding goes on to support projects providing practical help, including hot meals, school essentials, safe spaces and emotional support for children and families facing difficult times.

It's a simple act that continues making a difference long after the donation leaves the practice.

Every donation has the potential to become part of a different story. πŸ’›

When dental scrap is donated through Gold For Kids, the value doesn't stop there.

It becomes part of something much bigger, helping fund charities that support children and families across the UK.

Every donation becomes part of a shared effort from practices choosing to give something back.

Together, those small actions help create meaningful support where it's needed most.

Thank you to every practice that continues to be part of this. We couldn't do it without you.

Hidden value. Real impact. πŸ’›

Some removed dental crowns may still contain precious metals.

Instead of being discarded, they can be donated through Gold For Kids, helping fund children's charities across the UK.

Their value does not end when treatment does. It can go on to make a meaningful difference for children who need it most.

Getting involved with Gold For Kids is simpler than many people realise. πŸ’›

There's no need to wait for a collection pot.

Simply gather your precious metal dental scrap, register online, print your postage label and post it when you're ready.

That's it.

A simple process that helps turn everyday dental scrap into funding for projects supporting children and families across the UK.

The most important part of Gold For Kids isn’t the metal. πŸ’›

Every crown, bridge or piece of scrap donated has value.

But it only becomes something meaningful because somebody chooses to do something with it.

A practice sets it aside.
A patient chooses to donate.
A supporter gives their time.
A trustee helps guide the charity forward.

Those choices may seem small on their own, but together they help create meaningful support for children and families across the UK.

This post is a thank you to everyone who plays a part.

We’re grateful for every donation, every conversation and every act of kindness that helps make Gold For Kids possible. πŸ’›

Gold For Kids is built on something simple. πŸ’›

A practice choosing to donate.
A supporter sharing the message.
A community coming together to help children across the UK.

Dental scrap may seem small on its own, but every donation becomes part of something bigger.

At the heart of Gold For Kids are the people who make it possible.

The practices, patients, trustees, donors, supporters and charity partners helping turn everyday donations into meaningful support.

Thank you for being part of it. πŸ’›

πŸ’› Meet Hazel Woodward

Gold for Kids is built by people who care about making a difference.

Hazel Woodward, CEO of Lift Social, is one of the people helping us share that mission with more dental practices across the UK.

Her wealth of knowledge in digital marketing and communications helps us raise awareness, grow our community and ultimately support more children through every donation we receive.

Every conversation, every shared post and every practice that registers helps us move closer to supporting more children through dental scrap donations.

Thank you, Hazel, for helping Gold for Kids grow with purpose. πŸ’›

Gold For Kids started with a question. πŸ’›

What if something routinely removed in dental practices could help support children across the UK?

In 2018, Dr Leticia Casanova and her husband, David Holmes, together with their friend Kimberley MacGregor, wanted to do something practical that could make a real difference.

As three new parents, they couldn't ignore the reality that too many children were growing up facing hardship.

So they started with what they knew best.

Dentistry.

What began as a simple idea has grown into a community of practices, patients, donors, supporters, and charity partners, all helping turn everyday donations into meaningful support for children and families across the UK.

It's a reminder that small acts, when multiplied, can make a real difference. πŸ’›

Gold For Kids would not exist without the people behind it. πŸ’›

The practices that collect donations.
The patients who choose to give.
The trustees who volunteer their time.
The supporters who help spread the word.
The charity partners working to support children and families across the UK.

Every contribution matters, and every act of kindness becomes part of something bigger.

Together, you've helped turn everyday donations into meaningful support for children who need it most.

To every practice, patient, trustee, donor, supporter and partner, thank you.

We are grateful for your support and proud to have you as part of the Gold For Kids community. πŸ’›
