Our Family Grant Scheme is open again! 🧡

We know that some of you missed out on our Family Grant Scheme this year. If you weren’t one of the 70+ families who had a grant approved in 2026, you can now apply for up to £1,000!

These grants can help towards equipment and support that can make a real difference to everyday life. Here’s one of our wonderful Angelman families enjoying equipment purchased with the help of their grant 🧡

Did you know?🧡

People with Angelman Syndrome often understand far more than they’re able to communicate verbally.

While speech may be limited or absent, communication can happen in so many other ways, through gestures, facial expressions, communication devices, signs and, of course, plenty of personality!

It’s a lovely reminder that not speaking doesn’t mean not understanding 💙

The more we learn about Angelman Syndrome, the better we can understand, include and support our community 🧡

💙 A smile that says more than words ever could 💙

Angelman syndrome is a rare genetic condition that affects the nervous system, impacting things such as speech, movement, balance and development.

But a diagnosis can never tell you everything about a person. Behind every statistic is a unique personality, a family, favourite things, infectious laughter and so much kindness and love🧡

One of the most beautiful things about our community is getting to share these moments while helping more people understand Angelman syndrome.

Every post, share and conversation helps to raise awareness and we’re so grateful to have you here with us 🤍

🏃‍♀️ £3,123 raised and counting! 🧡

The Clements family took on the Norwich 10K together this weekend, raising an incredible £3,123 so far for Spread Your Wings!

The cause is especially close to their hearts after Tom and Hannah’s son, Henry, was diagnosed with Angelman syndrome in December 2025. After receiving support from Spread Your Wings from the very beginning, the family wanted to give something back and help us continue supporting other Angelman families 🧡

A huge thank you to Tom, Lisa, Dan, Georgia and Laura for taking on this challenge, and to everyone who has donated and supported them. What an amazing achievement! 👏✨

AND THAT’S A WRAP ON SUMMER 2026! ☀️💙

As the summer holidays come to an end and many of our children head back to school, we hope you’ve all had the most wonderful summer together filled with plenty of fun, laughter and moments to treasure.

We absolutely love seeing our Spread Your Wings families making memories like these. It’s such a special community to be part of, and we’re so grateful for the continued support you show us and one another.
