"The UK has vowed to cut emissions by 78% by 2035, but Think tank the Green Alliance says current plans will deliver less than a quarter of the cuts needed to meet the UK’s 2030 climate goal."

At Our Planet, we believe that governments play an essential role in helping to reduce our carbon footprint, bringing new regulations and targets in place, but more importantly sticking to these targets.

We also strongly believe that we can make a difference empowering consumers, giving them the ability to choose sustainable products and therefore influence manufacturers and merchants to prioritise sustainable products.

UK policies will deliver a quarter of emissions cuts needed, say campaigners ahead of the COP26 summit.

The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 31 October – 12 November 2021.
I do hope they will take decisive and impactful actions to help save our Planet.
Two weeks ago, the UN Secretary-General António Guterres said the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group's report was nothing less than "a code red for humanity. The alarm bells are deafening, and the evidence is irrefutable".
He noted that the internationally-agreed threshold of 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels of global heating was "perilously close. We are at imminent risk of hitting 1.5 degrees in the near term. The only way to prevent exceeding this threshold, is by urgently stepping up our efforts, and pursuing the most ambitious path.
