There has been a significant rise in young entrepreneurs after the hit of Covid-19. This surge has disrupted the job market and forced many people to take professional opportunities into their own hands.
Research shows that the reason for the encouragement to launch their own business is simply there were not enough employment opportunities for them in the current economic climate. Almost one in five young adults from the ages of 16-24 had tried and failed to secure a job in their chosen field.
The pandemic caused many businesses to start working from home, almost everyday life has become so virtual. Younger entrepreneurs were successful in seizing the opportunities of e-commerce and maximising their revenues through online sales during the pandemic.
The senior director of GoDaddy UK mentioned in an interview that “Despite the challenges of 2020, our research shows that young entrepreneurs have managed to make the most out of a difficult situation and have demonstrated the ability to flourish in a challenging economic environment brought on by the global pandemic.”
