The new National Greyhound Homing Centre has been designed for Greyhounds and to support them fully with their transition from working athletes into much loved family pets, through use of our real life rooms, sensory gardens and greyhound playgrounds.

💚🐶 HOMING PHOTOS 🐶💚

This week, we sent two wonderful hounds off to their forever homes! 🏠

Raven found her forever family after a short time of fostering. It’s always important to make sure a greyhound can fit in with family dynamics before making the final decision. For Raven, it was an easy ‘Yes!’ as she settled very quickly into the family life and retirement. Her new brothers and parents clearly love her very much! 🥰

Rebel found his human who was very happy to welcome him in and take him on loads of adventures! During his stay with us, he was always a pleasure and loved by all staff and volunteers who met him. He is sure to have a wonderful retirement and we can’t wait to see what they get up to in the future 🤗

💚🐶 HOMING PHOTOS 🐶💚

Yesterday, we wished ‘farewell’ to Barney as he has found his forever home with one of our wonderful volunteers! 🥰

Barney had not been with us a long time, but he made a big impact due to his incredibly sweet personality, beautiful singing when we get ready for a walk, and the stunning colour of his coat 🤩

Barney will be joining another lovely dog friend, making a adorable family of four in total 🦮👫🏻🐕‍🦺

💚🐶HOMING PHOTOS🐶💚

Recently, we wished a happy retirement to the wonderful Karen (now named Dana) 🥳

She’s going off to a wonderful family who fell in love with her at first sight, and we don’t blame them! She was always such a joy to walk and take to new places, her favourite volunteer was of course also named Karen 🤩

The two Karen’s often went off on adventures together, spreading the word about and all the wonderful greyhounds looking for their forever home. 💖

We will miss her presence, but we are glad she was only with us for a short time so she could spend the rest of her life with a lovely family 🎉

💚🐶 Homing Pictures 🐶💚

Polly found her forever home a short while back. We always had a soft spot for Polly as she was such a pleasure to cuddle and kiss. She definitely kept us on our toes at times, finding her water bowl tipped in her room 🌊😂

However, she was always so sweet and made a big paw print on everyone’s hearts. She went on outings with a number of volunteers and the report back was always the same; she was perfect and happy! 🤗

We wish her all the best on her retirement journey and look forward to hearing about her adventures with her mum at 💚

Have you ever wanted to help find retired racing greyhounds their forever homes but didn’t know where to start?

Here’s the chance! We’re looking for volunteers to help us with the all important “home check” for our lovely greyhounds! We’re looking for people all across the south of England so whether you’re based in London, Brighton, Oxford or any of the postcodes mentioned - we’d love to hear from you!

Full training and support will be given to anyone who would like to join the team and get stuck in! Contact us today!

🐰🍫HAPPY EASTER🍫🐰

We want to wish everyone a very happy Easter weekend full of chocolate and celebration 🎉

Our wonderful greyhounds have been looking everywhere for the Easter Bunny, and after some careful searching, they found it! 🐰

Dogs can’t eat chocolate of course, so they asked the Easter Bunny for dog chocolate instead. The Easter Bunny of course gave them all a sweet treat for being such great detectives🔎🤭

Make sure you keep your Easter chocolate well out of reach of your furry friends and share the celebrations with dog safe foods, many shops have options for special occasions so hounds can join in! 💝
