🏉 “For me, rugby is a safe place.”
Sometimes, when things feel difficult, the instinct can be to withdraw and shut yourself away.
But one of the first steps can simply be getting yourself around people who support you.
For many of us, rugby can provide exactly that.
Your teammates. Your coaches. Your mates. Your club. The people who know you, notice when you’re not yourself and can sit with you when things feel tough.
You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t have to explain everything. Sometimes just being around people is a good place to start.
And if you need more support, talk to someone you trust — a teammate, coach, captain, friend, family member or club welfare officer. You can also reach out to professional support.

Let’s keep making rugby a place where people feel safe enough to say, “I’m struggling.”
Get around your people. Check in. Talk. Listen. Look out for each other. 🏉💚
