Now Ty had a thought as the thief had been caught,
Let’s share with Miss Hayer the lunch that we brought.

So him and his team all sat in the canteen,
They put on display such a diverse cuisine.

Ty D Sites author, Saheb Dhesi, visited Ifield School in Gravesend where he carried out a ‘Let’s get building’ workshop. The ‘Let’s get Building’ initiative focuses on bringing to life the Ty D Sites book series. While dressed in child sized PPE, the school children were able to use their own imagination visiting each station while building their own structures, creating roads and while learning the important role of logistics across construction sites.

Joe White, Assistant Headteacher said “Saheb and his team provided an engaging, inclusive, hands-on workshop that enthused pupils from across the school. They had carefully planned each activity to provide insights into a variety of roles in the construction industry and beyond”.

“Pupils went back to class excited to take the Ty D Sites book home to share with their family. One member of staff even asked for a copy for their partner”.

“My clothing is bright, so I keep it in sight,
of all the vehicles that turn up to site.

When lorries arrive, park up and unload,
I watch out for people if crossing the road.

Alec is the traffic manager, he guides all of the vehicles onto site.”

When Ramaa and Harold were out on the scaffold,
They saw something striking that left them both baffled.

They put down their tubes and their boards and the clamp,
Untying their harness they walked to the ramp.
