Today, March 20th is the UN International Day of Happiness! This year’s theme explores the relationship between social media and happiness, highlighting the potential challenges for our wellbeing as well as ways we can all use tech for good.

A lot has been achieved in the first seven days of launching Relaxation UK.

We now have a presence on two social networking platforms, Facebook and LinkedIn. The networking platforms are important as they can bring together a community with an interest in relaxation. By joining our groups, people become ‘Friends’ of Relaxation UK. It’s exciting that in the first week we now have over 60 Friends from the around the world including Europe, Australia and the US.

We have a new website. We are continuing to add new material and resources to it about relaxation and meditation techniques. Check out our website: https://www.relaxationuk.org.uk

Chair of Relaxation UK, Professor Stephen Palmer said, “Integrating evidence-based relaxation techniques into our daily routines can provide life-long wellbeing benefits. Through our online digital resources, webinars, and professional networks, Relaxation UK will promote the benefits to both the public and health professionals alike.”
