🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We’re off to Bridge of Allan Highland Games 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and honestly, we cannae wait! ♥️

If you know us, you’ll know this is our favourite weekend of the year. We’ve been coming to the Bridge of Allan Highland Games for years now, and every year it gets bigger, better, and we absolutely love catching up with familiar faces, making new pals, and spending the weekend alongside all the brilliant local community stalls that make the event so special 🥰

This year you’ll find us at our usual spot. Our wee red tent is hard to miss. We are there from 10am - ready for a blether and hopefully to recruit a whole bunch of future lifesavers. 🦸🏻‍♀️ 🦸‍♂️

Joining the DKMS register takes minutes, but one day you could be the only person in the world who can give someone a second chance at life. That’s no a bad way to spend part of your Sunday.

So whether you’re coming for the pipe bands, the heavy events, the Highland dancing, or just because it’s one of the best days out in Scotland, make sure you pop by and say hello. We’d love to see some familiar faces… and plenty of new ones too! 🙌🏻💫

See you there ♥️

🚨 DKMS DONOR DRIVE 🚨

What a fantastic day we had at the Doune & Dunblane Show! It was our 1st time attending with a DKMS donor drive, and we couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome. What a vibe 😊

The committee were absolutely brilliant, especially when the Scottish summer arrived right on cue! Our gazebo decided to become part of the entertainment, but thanks to their quick rescue mission we were back up and running in no time. ⏰😂🙈

It was brilliant to meet so many people who stopped for a chat, learned about stem cell donation, and signed up to the DKMS register. Every new registration gives hope to someone searching for their lifesaving match.♥️ 💫

A huge thank you to everyone who popped by and helped make the day so special. We loved being part of such a friendly, welcoming community and can’t wait to come back! 🙌🏻♥️

🚨 Update: Beth has found a matching stem cell donor ❤️
She shares: "An 8/10 match has been found for me, and they're available to donate!
“This situation been a whirlwind, and I still want to keep campaigning for more people to join the register. Although finding an 8/10 match is amazing, this has really highlighted the huge lack of diversity on the stem cell register."

While this is fantastic news for Beth, the bigger issue hasn't gone away.
For people of dual heritage, like Beth, finding a matching donor can be much harder. People from mixed-race and UK minority ethnic backgrounds are still massively underrepresented on the stem cell register.

Beth found her match. But so many others are still waiting.
You could be the person who gives someone a second chance at life. They could be waiting for you, right now.

If you're aged 16–55, registering as a stem cell donor costs you nothing, takes just a few minutes, and could literally save a life.

Caitlin ♥️

In memory of Caitlin. 🕊️
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Caitlin. After being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia last year, Caitlin faced huge challenges with remarkable humour, warmth, and courage.

Through her openness and determination, Caitlin’s story inspired many people to join the stem cell donor register. Together with her twin sister Grace, Caitlin was dedicated to raising awareness of stem cell donation. In Caitlin's memory, Grace is continuing that mission and encouraging more people to register as potential stem cell donors.

One of the most powerful ways you can help honour Caitlin’s legacy is to register as a potential donor. If you're aged 16–55 and in general good health, you can join the register today at dkms.org.uk/register and help give hope to other patients searching for their match.

By registering in Caitlin’s memory, you can help ensure that every patient has the best possible chance of receiving the treatment they need, and more time with the people they love.

We want to thank everyone who helped share Caitlin's story and supported her search for a stem cell match. Caitlin’s legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the awareness she helped create. Our thoughts are with all of Caitlin’s family, friends, and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. ❤️
