The 'Unseen Children' survey will look at the experiences of families of children and young people who are struggling with school attendance or have come off the school roll as a result of anxiety-related issues. We are aiming to understand more about how this happens, what support is needed, and the wider impacts, including on family life.

MEET THE MANAGERS
SOCIAL EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL WELLBEING SUPPORT

We are really looking forward to welcoming you tomorrow evening for our next ‘Meet the Managers’ session.

Time: 6.00pm – 8.00pm
Location: Civic Suite, Catford Road, London, SE6 9SE

The focus of this session will be on social, emotional and mental wellbeing support for children and young people with SEND in Lewisham.

We’re pleased to be joined by a colleague who will share more about the Mental Health Support Teams in Schools, and how this support is making a difference for young people across the borough.

We have also added an additional agenda item on the ‘Experts at Hand’ model, part of the government’s wider SEND reforms. This approach aims to ensure children’s needs are identified and supported earlier through specialist teams working alongside education settings. We are keen to shape Lewisham’s model together with parents, carers and partners, and very much value your input in this discussion.

We hope you’ll be able to join us for what promises to be an informative and collaborative session.
