This week, as we mark Refugee Week and its theme of courage, we’re celebrating the incredible success of Well Grounded graduates from across the world.
For many refugees, courage is not a one‑off act - it’s a daily practice. It’s the courage to begin again, to navigate unfamiliar systems, to learn new languages, to build community, and to step into a future that once felt uncertain.
Refugee Week is the world’s largest arts and culture festival celebrating the creativity, resilience and contributions of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.
Today, we’re spotlighting members of our graduate network who embody that courage. They are business owners, creatives and leaders, shaping the UK coffee and hospitality sector with skill and passion.
The word courage comes from the Latin cor, meaning “heart”.
And each of these graduates leads with exactly that.
