Over the past few months, I’ve taken time to reflect on what matters most for both my family and myself at this moment in time.
After careful consideration, I’ve made the decision to postpone the ‘26 in 26’ challenge.
This has not been an easy decision. Following a knee injury over the winter, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to maintain the level of training required, while also making sure, I’m fully present for my four children. Running in the mountains at 4:30am isn’t what Vicky would want for me to be doing right now for many reasons…
My personal circumstances have given me the opportunity to pause and reassess where my focus needs to be. For me, that’s clear: family and friends must come first.
I remain fully committed to completing ‘26 in 26’. We will do it—just at the right time for the children, and for those closest to us.
As my dad once said, “sometimes you need to move backwards, then sideways, before you can move forward again.”
Never be normal
Never be boring
