It is Carers Rights Day ! I spoke to two classes of Health & Social Care students at Coleg Cambria this morning about Young Carers Rights and planted a seed of awareness amongst the next generation of workers in health or social care settings.
They gave me lots of great ideas about how we can build our campaign of awareness raising in schools and health settings going forward.

This year, we’re raising awareness of what caring costs unpaid carers. It costs them their finances, their health, their wellbeing, their relationships and much more.

Throughout the day, we’ll be sharing what carers have told us caring costs them to shine a light on the huge challenges carers are currently facing – and why it’s so important carers know their rights and can get support.
