The powerhouse team from Talk the Talk Education were out in force today with the Year 9 boys at Arch Bishop Beck Catholic High School. Almost the full band in the one school (minus Rach Fitz and Katie O'Callaghan who were working in different schools)

We delivered three big conversations that young people need but often don’t get enough space for:

Sexual health & body awareness — Karen Hampson

Confidence & self‑esteem in relationships- Nikki Jude

Harmful behaviours, misogyny & sexual harassment — Ben Towell

The boys brought energy, curiosity and plenty of questions. We saw real light‑bulb moments, safe challenge, honest reflection — and some of the lads left with noticeably different mindsets to the ones they walked in with.

One teacher told us:

“I observed all three sessions today — all superb and very professional. I would highly recommend Talk the Talk to all organisations.”

Another added:

'Communities will benefit by having confident, respectful individuals as a result of these workshops.”

We’ll keep bringing the energy, motivation, challenge and conversation to the topics everyone wants to avoid — because this work matters.

Over two days, Rach Fitz and Ben Towell delivered the Challenge the Chat programme to around 120 Year 10 students at Notre Dame Catholic Academy, opening up honest conversations about misogyny, sexual harassment, gender stereotypes, respectful communication, and positive relationships.

The impact was powerful:

✅ 98% improved their understanding of sexual harassment and misogyny
✅ 100% said they would make conscious behaviour changes
✅ 94% said they would speak up when friends display poor behaviours
✅ 98% would recommend the session to others

One teacher shared:

“The sessions were brilliant. I cried at how open some of the children were. This was largely due to Rachel and Ben delivering the session”

When young people are given the space to talk, listen, reflect, and challenge harmful attitudes, culture can change.

Thank you to Notre Dame Catholic High School for inviting us in.

We are delighted to share that We will be working in partnership with Elevate EBP and Knowknifecrime to deliver this important early intervention programme with a group of Year 9 boys in Litherland High School to deliver the Respect & Responsibility: Creating Positive Futures programme.

The programme aims to reduce violence, harassment and related harmful behaviours by supporting young people to explore respect, responsibility, emotional intelligence, equality and positive choices.

As part of the programme, Talk the Talk will deliver their 'Call It Out' workshop, working with students to improve positive behaviours, respectful communication, allyship and advocacy, particularly in relation to behaviours towards women and girls.

This work is about more than challenging harmful attitudes. It is about helping young people understand how respect, empathy, communication and personal responsibility can support healthier relationships, safer communities and future success.

A huge thank you to the Community Foundation for Merseyside Merseyside Police for supporting this project and investing in positive futures for young people across Merseyside.Merseyside Police

We loved loved loved our whole‑school approach day at Saint Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic Academy , part of the Pope Francis Multi Academy Trust in Merseyside.

Four of our Talk the Talk team — Ben Towelll, Rach Fitz , Karen Hampson and Katie O'Callaghan — worked with students across a brilliant range of essential topics:

- Confidence & self‑esteem (Year 7)
- Positive behaviours & respectful communication (Year 9)
- Misogyny & sexual harassment (Year 10 boys)
- Healthy relationships (Year 10 girls)

The students were honest, open and fully engaged. Staff coordination and attentiveness were absolutely second to none. Days like this remind us that somehow… this is classed as “work”.

First hand feedback shows a huge uplift in awareness and positive behaviour change across all groups.
Thank you for having us — what a day.

Schools are seeing a rise in misogynistic language, online influence and confusion among boys about what healthy masculinity looks like. This isn’t just a behaviour trend — it’s a cultural shift that’s landing in your classrooms.

Talk the Talk Education is working with schools to tackle this head‑on. We help students build respect, empathy and communication skills, while giving staff practical strategies that fit real‑world teaching pressures.

If you’re noticing these behaviours creeping into lessons, social time or group dynamics, now is the time to act.

Reach out — we’re here to support you and your students with evidence‑informed, engaging sessions that make a real difference www.talkthetalkeducation.com
