Baby Basics Liverpool Liverpool Baby Bank working with health professionals to support expectant mums experiencing hardship with newborn items and safe-sleep. Support babies 0-2yrs.

We welcome donations of new and preloved baby equipment, financial assistance and volunteers. Baby Basics Liverpool was launched by Freedom Church Liverpool in August 2015. We accept referrals through your Midwife, Health Visitor or other professional agencies / charities. We do not accept self referrals. We can help vulnerable groups such as teenage parents, asylum seekers, those fleeing domestic

abuse, trafficking or who are struggling to provide the everyday essentials for their baby. Our Moses baskets provide a safe bed to sleep in and are packed full of toiletries-nappies, wipes, maternity pads etc as well as blankets, towels and baby clothes. For some these are the only items they have for their child. We believe that Baby Basics shows GOD’S LOVE IN ACTION

Lots to share today and to be thankful for!

🌟Lots of our referrers collected large bundles just in time to make vital space in the unit. We were able to provide emergency equipment to families in crisis - and we’ve around a dozen Moses baskets waiting to be packed thanks to all your donations!

🌟Rob from came to spend a corporate volunteering day with us. He spent the morning coming up with technical and admin support for Tor, speeding up many of our processes. Then this afternoon he joined Sadie, Ruth and Tor in the unit- packing baskets, sorting donations, loading referrals into midwives vehicles and helping put away and photograph the corporate donations! Thanks for being a huge help Rob!

🌟 Our termly National Delivery arrived 🙌full of incredible goodies from partner corporations, thanks to and driver Valentine!

Being part of the network Baby Basics UK brings lots of support and shared learning - but three times a year we also receive incredible donations from Corporate sponsors!

It’s International Day of the midwife and Maternal Mental Health week - both very precious topics to us!

We’re so grateful to work in support and alongside many midwives and other agencies who support women in the most incredibly vulnerable moments of life - becoming mothers.

Here’s a few more images of the support flowing in and out of our centre this week. Mothers supporting mothers, women upholding women, a community of men and women changing lives for good and lifting one another up in their hour of need!

All our volunteers have been hard at work and back from holidays this week!

We needed them too with all the donations to sort and plenty of referrals to complete.

As usual we’ve been blown away by timely donations- in the past week we needed a number of specific slightly less usual things we hadn’t even put a request out for, and they miraculously turned up right on time!

We’re convinced God was listening & prompting!

Student HV Anna joined in on Monday and Becca joined us on Tuesday - both were a huge blessing!

We’re still closed to clothing donations for now.

Lots of collections from our numerous referral partners.

And wonderfully, lots of donations too! We’re making the most of the sunshine to get washing done too.

We are still over run with clothes this week so CANNOT TAKE ANY MORE CLOTHES. We simply don’t have the safe space for them at present.

We are still accepting donations of the other items on our wanted list.

Thanks for all your amazing support Merseyside!

A little update from Sadie 🎥:

🛑 We’re really full so no more clothes donations for now. Apart from 0-3m neutral outfits or 0-3m coats (it’s still still chilly)

🌟We need newborn single and double prams for over 10 families please. Mobility is so important for families to access shops, community and support services.

💐 Referrers - please spread the word that we need collections to happen. We’ve no room to prep more packs as things stand. Thanks!

We’ve had around 12 collections and have prepared 15 referrals this week so far. A few of our cases were emergencies and we were so relieved to be able to supply these families with the essentials they needed and the message that they are LOVED, VALUED & NOT ALONE.

Donations have been flowing in - most crucially Moses baskets 🙌 THANK YOU! But we need more please …

🍫 Over Easter, Lucie made, packaged and sold these fabulous chocolates. They were milk chocolate and seasalt and were delicious!!
