⚑ Can You Help Us Save Lives in Our Community? ❀️

The North West First Responder Group currently has three public access defibrillators ready to be installed across the Wirral, helping to make lifesaving equipment available when and where it is needed most.

Unfortunately, our regular electrician is currently facing a significant backlog, which means these defibrillators are waiting to be fitted before they can be made available to the public.

We are therefore reaching out to see if there are any qualified electricians or electrical companies within the local area who may be willing to support us with the installation of one or more of these units.

As a fully volunteer-led charity, we rely entirely on donations, fundraising, and the goodwill of our supporters to deliver projects like this. Any assistance, whether through donated time, discounted services, or advice, would be hugely appreciated and would directly help us place these potentially lifesaving devices into the communities that need them.

If you think you may be able to help, or know somebody who can, please get in touch with us via direct message or email at [email protected].

Together, we can help ensure that more people have access to a defibrillator when every second counts. πŸ’œ

A recent news article highlighted the tragic deaths of two young men, Adam and Matthew, who suffered sudden cardiac arrests caused by underlying heart conditions.

One part of Adam's story particularly stood out to us.

When Adam collapsed during a football match, a defibrillator was available at the scene. However, due to uncertainty and confusion, it was not used.

The reality is simple:

⚑ If somebody is in cardiac arrest, use the defibrillator.
⚑ The device will not deliver a shock unless it is needed.
⚑ Every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces the chances of survival.

This is exactly why we deliver CPR & AED awareness sessions across our communities.

You do not need to be a healthcare professional to save a life. Ordinary people save lives every day because they recognise a cardiac arrest, start CPR and use a defibrillator.

Knowledge saves lives.

Would you know where your nearest defibrillator is located?

🌟 Volunteers’ Week 2026 🌟

This week, we join organisations across the UK in celebrating Volunteers’ Week and recognising the incredible people who make a difference in their communities every single day.

Every community first response, CPR awareness session, fundraising event, community engagement activity, and public access defibrillator project is made possible by dedicated volunteers.

Our Community First Responders, support volunteers, instructors, fundraisers, coordinators, and leadership team give their time freely to help save lives, support their communities, and make a real difference across the North West.

Over the past year, our volunteers have responded to hundreds of emergencies on behalf of North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust, delivered life-saving education to thousands of people, and helped improve access to defibrillators across our communities. None of this would be possible without their commitment, compassion, and professionalism.

To every volunteer who wears our logo, supports our mission, or gives their time behind the scenes… Thank You! πŸ’™

Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly proud to have you as part of our team.

πŸ’™ Happy Volunteers’ Week 2026! πŸ’™
