We’re thrilled to share that we were presented with a Young Entrepreneur Award at the Knowsley Council Education Awards last night!

A huge congratulations goes to our student enterprise group - Team Fidget - who received a Highly Commended award for their innovative 3D-printed sensory fidget project.

From pitching their ideas at a QVC-style Dragon’s Den event to selling directly to customers at fairs and markets, the judges praised Team Fidget for bringing their ideas to life in real-world settings and showcasing the skills needed to succeed as young entrepreneurs.

Well done to all our students who were involved and a massive thank you to all the incredible Activate staff who supported the project!

🏆👏

🎉 Actifest is Coming! 🎉

Join us for our annual summer fayre — one of the highlights of the year here at Activate!

Actifest is always a hugely popular event for our students, families and the local community. Every penny raised helps support the outstanding work we do across the college and it makes a real difference to the young people we support.

As always, we would be incredibly grateful for any donations, vouchers or prizes for our raffle, tombola and other prize stalls. We are also looking for stall holders who would like to be part of this fantastic community event.

💫 🏢Last week, young people with SEND from across Knowsley took over QVC UK's Knowsley site for a Dragons’ Den Pop‑Up Sale Day

After pitching their ideas back in November, students from local SEND schools and colleges brought their products to life - running stalls, serving customers and raising money for their chosen charities. 🛒

🤝The event was delivered through partnership working between Knowsley Council, QVC UK, schools, colleges and support staff, with the aim of creating a meaningful, real life learning experience that supports young people to develop skills for the future.

Yesterday, our Careers and Transition Team enterprise group - 'Team Fidget' - was invited to a Dragon’s Den Pop-Up Market at QVC. After pitching their product ideas a few months ago, the students were given the exciting opportunity to run their own stall and sell directly to customers.

It was a brilliant experience and our student's hard work paid off as they made lots of sales! Well done 'Team Fidget'!👏
