Leave Liverpool Tidy

Leave Liverpool Tidy We'll make this quick, because here at Leave Liverpool Tidy, we don't trash-talk. Sorry, a lot of our material is recycled. We should probably bin those jokes.

Leave Liverpool Tidy is a ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ project which aims to reduce the amount of reusable items going to landfill across Merseyside. The project is a collaborative scheme between Liverpool Guild of Students, Liverpool Students’ Union, Liverpool City Council and other organisations and charities in Liverpool. Leave Liverpool Tidy operates during the summer months when Liverpool’s stude

nt population moves out of their accommodation. At this time of year a large amount of waste can be created, much of which could be re-used or recycled. The project aims to collect, sort and redistribute these items. Collections take place via donation points in student halls of residence and community centres, and bags are delivered directly to residents in certain areas of the city, to be collected from their doorstep. The project creates a variety of interesting volunteering roles for students and non-students alike, aiming to facilitate community interaction for everyone involved. Donations from the project can find a home in a variety of places; given directly to a partner charity of the project and passed onto service users or beneficiaries, or picked up by a member of the public in a community free shop (held on a variety of dates and various locations during the summer).
